Junior Advisor Duties and Responsibilities

• Ensure prospects and clients experience superior client service and make clients feel truly welcome by being cheery and upbeat, greeting people by name, and doing what is appropriate to ensure their experience is pleasant
• Learn skills required to grow into the advisor position within the firm
• Leverage advisors’ time, allowing them to focus on providing high level financial planning and revenue producing activities that assist in driving firm growth
• Support high client satisfaction rates through excellent customer service, prompt and accurate completion of client paperwork, follow-up to client issues and proactive problem solving
• Manage incoming and outgoing communications (telephone, email and faxes)
• Schedule and manage tasks and activities in CRM and Outlook calendars
• Provide general office support (photocopying, faxing, filing, office errands, creating documents, etc.).
• Support general administrative needs as requested
• Complete client service tasks as assigned and train to be competent in all areas over time
• Finalize the preparation for all appointments, including generating meeting materials and client presentations for financial advisor
• Update client financial information obtained from meeting (ABS, beneficiaries, etc.)
• Transfer client notes and active tasks to CRM programs
• Communicate efficiently with the office for client updates (share what happened in the meeting, so everyone is up to speed).
• Create Retirement Analysis based on client information/meetings (technically they could input the information with training)
• Create investment proposals for prospect leads and potential new clients
• Buy and sell stocks/bonds
• Maintain and organize electronic client files
• Learn how to use all office equipment
• Keep appropriate levels of inventory for refreshments and snacks for clients
• Maintain overall cleanliness of office (dust, vacuum, empty and take out trash, clean or recycle beverage containers.)

Requirements

• Four year college degree (either obtained or working toward) required
• Finance, Economics, Psychology, Business or related major encouraged
• Work toward obtaining CFP License. Necessary testing to be completed for long term hire:
- SIE - Securities Industry Essentials Examination
- Series 7 - General Securities Representative Examination
- Series 66 - Uniform Combined State Law Examination
- License and state health, life, disability, and variable annuity licenses
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Extreme attention to detail and accuracy required
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and general computer skills
• Ability to navigate digital tools and search engines
• Impeccable ability to maintain confidentiality and integrity
• Effective follow-up skills and ability to meet deadlines without prompting
• Thorough work ethic with great attention to detail
• Collected and able to work well under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Energetic, eager to learn, willing to cooperate
• Self-motivated with ability to work well independently and under direction
• Comfortable with being a “team player” and doing whatever is needed, big or small
